We have some wonderful news to share ... Yolo County has just moved into the RED Tier and we are now allowed to have our dance classes INSIDE the studio! 


IMPORTANT: Please see below for log-in instructions and how check out your child's Dance Class Schedule (please note some class days / times have been updated):

 

 


Here is how to log-in to your account: 

 
 

 

  • From there it will take you to the log-in page where you will enter the email we have on file for your account and your password. The auto password is Dance#16. If you put in your own password and forgot it, please click the FORGOT PASSWORD and follow the steps to retrieve or reset your password.

  • Once you are logged in, it will bring you to your Student Login Page where you can Read and Accept the Terms and Conditions. All families must accept the Terms and Conditions prior to taking a class inside the studio.

    • ​​How do I know if I have accepted the terms or not?: If a parent logs into the portal and they have not accepted the terms, the terms will pop up immediately and they will have to accept. If that box does not pop up, they have already accepted. They can view the terms at any time from the portal on the left side under the menu.

In-studio classes will resume the week of October 05, 2020! 

 

All classes will resume on their scheduled day & time that appears on our NORMAL Class Schedule. We are beyond grateful for the support we have received from all of our dance families over the past few months and want to thank all of you from the bottom of our hearts for your continued trust, patience and support of our studio and teachers! 



 

ZOOM Moving Forward

 

  • Select classes will be available for students to take on ZOOM. To inquire about classes that will be available on ZOOM, please email us at info@RiverCityDance.net. ZOOM classes will continue as an alternative for families and students that are unable to physically attend in-studio classes, however, not all classes will be available on ZOOM. Please email us at info@RiverCityDance.net if you have any questions.

Health & safety is our utmost concern

  • We are implementing many safety & sanitation protocols to protect your dancers as they come through the doors. 

  • As we prepare for in-studio classes to resume, we will proceed with all safety precautions as recommended by the county and state. The safety of our students, dance families and staff is of utmost importance and we appreciate your cooperation with any procedures that will be put in place.




Here’s what we are doing: 

  • Continuing to focus on cleaning our facility more diligently with recommended sanitizing products on a daily basis. 

  • Garbage will be removed daily. Any personal items left behind at the studio will be thrown away. There will be no lost and found at this time. 

  • All staff will continue to wash their hands and use sanitizer frequently.

    Both of our lobby areas are temporarily closed for parents and students to use in between and during classes. Our Front Lobby will still be available if families need to purchase shoes, tights or other dance apparel during our regular business hours Monday - Friday from 4:00pm - 7:30pm.

  • Hand sanitizing stations will be available for all students to use as they enter and exit the dance rooms.

  • All students will need to wear a face mask while waiting to enter the dance rooms. Once classes begin, face masks will be optional. Faculty will also be following face mask guidelines for our local area. 

  • We will be practicing social distancing inside and outside the studio. This means we will not be giving hugs or hi-fives, and will be maintaining a distance of at least 6 feet apart from each other.

  • Our restroom will now serve as a Family Restroom for single or family use only. Anyone using the restroom will need to lock the door while in use. 

  • Classes will be released about 10 minutes early so staff can clean and sanitize dance rooms in between classes. 




Entering and Exiting the Studio (please read):

  • We will be using the front, back and side doors of all dance rooms for safe entrances and exits to avoid congestion. 

  • Students should arrive about 3-5 minutes prior to their class start time. 

  • Students will need to wait outside of their assigned dance room on set markers spaced 6 feet apart, and wait for their teachers to invite them inside. 

  • Masks are required upon arrival and to enter the studio(s). Students are welcome to wear their mask during their classes.

  • Students will enter the dance room one at a time to maintain social distancing guidelines and will be assigned a designated spot for their class once they are inside. 

  • Parents will need to make arrangements for an on time pick-up once their child’s class ends.




Instructions for Students:

  • All students will be required to wear appropriate shoes at all times and in all classes (no bare feet or socks in class or in the parking lot). For contemporary, lyrical and tumbling classes, students can wear either jazz or ballet shoes. 

  • Dancers will need to arrive fully dressed in appropriate dance attire and will not be allowed to change their clothes before or after any of their class(es). The student lounge will be closed for the time being. 

  • Dancers will be permitted to bring a small bag/backpack to carry their dance shoes and a water bottle. Water will not be available for sale at the studio, so please send your dancer with enough water for the day.




Instructions for Parents: 

  • We ask that parents wait outside or in their vehicles when bringing their child to the studio. Please have your student wait in the designated area outside the dance room until a staff member or teacher welcomes them inside. Designated areas for students to wait outside will be clearly marked along the sidewalk leading to the dance rooms. 

  • Dancers who have breaks in between classes will need to be picked up by a parent or wait in their parent’s vehicle until their next class. The student lounge will be closed for the time being. 

  • For our younger students, it would be best for a parent to remain on-site in their vehicle in case their child needs any assistance or needs to use our Family restroom. If a younger student does need to use the Family restroom during their class, either a teacher or staff member will accompany the younger student to the restroom, or make their parent aware by locating them in the parking lot.




Healthy Tips for Families:

  • If a child has a 99.9F fever or above, please do not send them to dance class. 

  • It is best for dancers to NOT enter the studio if they are feeling ill in any way or experiencing any cold-like symptoms including: cough, congestion, runny nose, sore throat, body aches, fevers or chills.

  • Provide your dancer with their own personal water bottle, and do have them share with other students. Water will not be available at the lobby at this time. 

  • Please reiterate to your child not to touch their face, mouth or nose while in class.
